The Hessen Cassel Branch will begin its Home School Programming – Field Trip Fridays this Friday, September 6 from 10:15 – 11:45 AM.
September 6th & 20th – Afternoon on the Amazon – Examining South American culture, art, and deforestation.
October 4th & 18th – Lions At Lunchtime – Learning about the Plains Regions of Africa.
November 1st & 15th –Polar Bears Past Bedtime – Inspecting the Arctic through plants, animals, and people.
December 6th & 20th – Tigers At Twilight – Exploring the mysteries of India.
January 10th & 24th – Dingoes at Dinnertime – Investigating the country and continent of Australia.
February 7th & 21st – Good Morning Gorillas – Whisking back to Africa to research the mountain regions.
March 7th & 21st – Eve of the Emperor Penguin – Tackling the southern cold region of Antarctica.
April 4th & 18th – A Perfect Time for Pandas – Focus our inquiry on China’s culture, art, and animals.
Working closely with the “Magic Tree House” titles and their nonfiction companion books, this year’s Field Trip Fridays will focus on geography, culture of peoples, and a more open art concept which will target science and art process.
A copy of the book, each month, will be available for families at the first Friday.
