2014 ACPL Children’s Summer Reading Program
Who? For children (those just born through those completing 4th grade)
Where? Pick up your reading log at any library location!
When? Monday, June 2 – Friday, July 25 at 6:00 pm
Why? Reading during the summer helps to prevent “summer slide” – the decrease of reading skills during the summer months. The more you read during the summer, the better your reading skills will be when school starts again in the fall!
Also, reading to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers helps them to develop the early literacy skills they’ll need to be successful when they start kindergarten.
What else? Every child participating gets a Tin Caps voucher good for one free baseball game ticket.
