There hasn’t been a new Captain Underpants book in SIX years! If you have read a Captain Underpants book by Dav Pilkey it’s probably because a librarian has led you to him. (We children’s librarians love Captain Underpants–he was probably the first crazy-silly-chapter-book super hero to come on the scene when his first book came out in 1997.)
The latest book, Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers, follows the main characters (George and Harold) from jail back to Kindergarten by way of time-traveling tyrant named Tippy Tinkletrousers. Since Principal Krupp doesn’t become Captain Underpants until the boys are in 4th grade, they must face their battles all alone. Do you think they will survive? Get the book to find out!
